Trade War Cont'd For Kansas City Coffee?!?

An EPIC rally and White House pause doesn't completely console jittery local coffee outlets.

Remember . . . The U.S. can't grow coffee beans and for this blog and so many other workers . . . Coffee is pretty much the only thing that drives productivity and has a (slightly) slower pace of rotting teeth.

And so . . .

We take another moment to gauge the local impact . . . 

"There's not a lot of room for anyone in the supply chain to absorb these costs," said Robin Seitz, director of coffee at Parisi. "Coffee, especially specialty coffee, is a bit of a luxury. ... What's made it difficult for everyone, for us, for the consumers, for importers and exporters, is that it's all happened so fast. If this had happened gradually over time, it would be a lot easier for all of us to accept. But it just happened really, really fast."
