Kansas City was once called "the city of fountains" but like most things . . . That's really a legacy of the past that doesn't really apply anymore . . .
Fact is . . . There are fewer and fewer fountains turned on every year in KCMO and that's mostly a good thing for those who don't wanna waste water.
In the meantime . . . Here's a quick peek at 2025 festivities and a Springtime tradition that still endures:
A public celebration is happening this afternoon at the Mill Creek Park fountain near the Country Club Plaza. It will include an address from Mayor Quinton Lucas and a live jazz band, "Strawberry Jam."
The celebration starts at 2:30 p.m.
