Sporting KC Spring Forward To Victory Without Vermes

Just a bit of nice news for late night lurkers . . . A local boost for Kansas City sports fans and a club attempting to advance after a longtime leadership switcheroo.

Here's a hopeful quote in favor of one of the better fan experiences in the metro that hasn't been totally politicized . . .

Saturday's match against St. Louis City was sporting KC's first since the club announced it was parting ways with former head coach Peter Vermes.

“I think the front office has a long way to go. Look around you. The enthusiasm is pretty low, and the fan experience has been declining for several years. So I'm looking forward to more changes,” said Sporting KC fan Blake . . .

“I feel pretty optimistic. At least it's a change. I'm excited to see the St. Louis fans. Hopefully, we send them home crying.“

Maybe not crying but disappointed for certain . . .
