
Once again Missouri Republicans are divided on this controversial issue that might not accomplish much but eroding confidence in local Democracy . . . Check-it:

"The amendment, if passed, would require parental consent for minors seeking reproductive healthcare, define reproductive healthcare broadly, and restrict funding.
"The amendment faces opposition from Missouri Right to Life, who argues it doesn't do enough to limit abortions and could backfire.
"Concerns arise about the amendment's impact on access to contraception for minors and its potential conflict with federal funding for family planning services.
"The amendment's requirement for legal challenges to be heard in Cole County raises concerns about venue shopping and access to justice."

MO legislature's newest version of anti-abortion bill criticized by Missouri Right to Life
Susan Klein with Missouri Right to Life said unlike the prior iterations, the new proposal would not "repeal and replace" voter-approved Amendment 3.
