Recall Frank White Collab Moves Closer To Required Signature Count

Two efforts finally seem to have met with some success and will put the strange charter language at the Courthouse to the test very soon.

We're reaching back to share this report that still deserves a look . . .

The red signs and T-shirts that sport the phrase "Recall Frank White" are being funded by the Missouri nonprofit Democracy In Action, which was incorporated in October 2024. It has raised over $180,000 in six months to fund the recall campaign's shirts and a texting campaign, as well as hire petitioners to hold the clipboards and encourage Jackson County residents to sign.

Before DIA jumped into the campaign, the grassroots effort was only able to collect about 30% of the required 42,902 signatures.

DIA Executive Director Guy Howard said as of Tuesday, April 8, he believes he has all the required signatures, but one of the agencies hired to provide petitioners hasn't been paid by DIA yet, so that agency is holding onto thousands of signatures.
