Hy-Vee is closing all of the bars at its stores in the Kansas City metro area, the supermarket chain said Wednesday.

Tina Potthoff, a spokesperson for Hy-Vee, told FOX4 there wasn't enough interest or consumer demand.

Bar service will end on May 1.
