
Right now we're there's still a lot of debate about how this situation went down . . .
However . . .
We decided to blog the incident because an elected official shared an on-record statement via his social media accounts and that, in turn, sparked even more concerned parents to reach out our way.
So far . . . Here are the basics:
There was a great deal of of fear, questions and concern over SUSPECTED fed action in a parent drop of line at a KCPS school this week.
Here's the statement and more info of an investigation that's ongoing . . .
"A federal enforcement agency executed a misdirected operation towards a bilingual parent, and immediately @kcpublicschools activated their long standing protocols to protect parents and students.
"Although not known to be an immigration enforcement action there are still many unanswered questions as to why a federal enforcement agency would execute such an operation, towards a target that wasn’t their focus, while this individual dropped off his daughter at a busy morning, parent drop-off line, in front of a multicultural centered school with many elementary aged students, staff and parents watching."

Jackson County Legislator Manny Abarca: "Whereas many unanswered questions lie on this federal agency and federal administration as to why agents weren’t aware of the trauma created for a failed and inaccurately executed operation."
