
We all know how this is gonna turn out but we have to give credit to Mayor Q for keeping it interesting.
The better backstory that we can share is that the aviation dude is an extra special snub to the Northland that will have several leaders in a tizzy . . . He might actually have a better chance than we think.

The Mayor's office says that over forty internal and external candidates were reviewed, with three finalists being selected. Those finalists are:
Kimiko Gilmore: The current interim City Manager in Kansas City and Director of Convention and Entertainment Facilities.
Mario Vasquez: Mario Vasquez is the current Director of City Planning and Development and Assistant City Manager.
Patrick Klein: Klein formerly served as the Director of Aviation in Kansas City before announcing his 2023 retirement at the KCI terminal ribbon-cutting.
