KCFD STABBED IN NORTHLAND!!!

Perspective on weekend violence from Mayor Q . . .

Early this morning, a Kansas City firefighter was critically injured after being stabbed by a passenger in ambulance transport in Kansas City’s Northland. I pray for our firefighter and his family. He is alive thanks to the swift response by his fellow KCFD paramedics . . . Spending time this morning with our firefighter’s family and his @KCMOFireDept colleagues, I was reminded of the dangers our first responders face and the bravery they show each day. May God bless them all . . . The suspect has been identified. In the days ahead, I expect more will be shared about any recent criminal history and her threat to public safety. I also will expect serious charges matching the grievous harm she caused to someone working to provide her emergency medical care."
