Kansas City Suspect Confronts Hate Crime Charges After Alleged Trans Attack

Local consequences a mugshot following reported intolerance and other suspected sketchy behavior:

"When first responders arrived, they said they found a victim who was “extremely upset” and bleeding from a head wound. She reported that she was driving home when a man . . . Approached her. The two struck up a conversation, which was continued at a house SUSPECT claimed to be a friend’s.

"Once at the location, investigators said SUSPECT allegedly asked the victim if she was a man and told her that if she was transgender, he would kill her. Out of fear for her life, she lied and said no.

"Eventually, law enforcement officials said SUSPECT had allegedly asked the victim to perform oral sex on him, to which she declined. He became defensive and again asked if she was transgender. This time, the victim turned to unlock her car, however, SUSPECT pulled a gun on her."
