If this statement were true than that would make so much opposition even more relevant . . .
"Leavenworth is a city that understands, perhaps better than anywhere in the country, the dedication it takes to operate secure facilities for the benefit of public safety."
Still . . .
The upshot on this story is that it's far too politicized for readers to understand without revealing their own bias GIVEN that we know more than a few "law & order" supporters and anti-immigration voters who have raised LEGIT concerns about the facility.
