Because this cowtown loves you AND because not so long ago Kansas City council lady Beth Gottstein helped to champion an effort to improve public health back in 2008.
That was just one of her accomplishments before she gave up politics, got married and turned to the medical industry.
Still . . . Some of our favorite readers remember her and we THINK it's her birthday . . . Accordingly:
