Kansas City Public Radio Shares Out Of Touch 'Fine Dining' List For Donor Class

To be fair . . .

Only a couple of their staffers can afford this stuff.

A bit of a personal revelation . . .

TKC's fancy top five when we have a few extra coins in our pocket:

Minsky's - Gourmet pizza is a special treat over frozen.

Arby's - Forgive us, some will say it's gross but the roast beef sammy is still pretty good and the closest TKC can get to steak without ruining it by way of cooking at home.

Los Alamos - A special treat wherein locals can appreciate the irony of selling VERY PRICEY burritos to hipsters and gentrifiers.

Chic-Fil-A - Our more progressive friends might object to the politics but the restaurants are always really clean and the food is IMPECCABLE.

Winstead's on The Plaza - A local institution in its last days harkens back to a forgotten time when wealth inequality didn't influence every facet of American society. It's still possible for two people to have a nice meal here for less than 30 bucks which is still WAY MORE than TKC regularly coughs up; BUT the institution endures as a REALLY nice treat that this local hack has enjoyed since he was just a baby blogger.

And so . . .

Here are public radio places that fewer and fewer locals can afford . . .

"Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply want to treat yourself to the best money can buy, the metro is brimming with top-tier restaurants that specialize in gourmet fare with impeccable service. Here’s your guide to the city’s most inviting and influential fine dining establishments."
