Suspicious Death/Now Homicide 9000 block of Blue Ridge

On 4-1-2025 just after 7pm, Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 9000 block of Blue Ridge in regard to a check the welfare call.

On arrival officers were directed inside a residence where they located an adult female unresponsive and deceased. Her injuries were unknown.

Officers preserved the scene and called for detectives due to the suspicious nature of the incident. Detectives, to include homicide detectives, responded and began a suspicious death investigation at that time.

Crime scene investigators processed the scene for evidence and detectives canvassed for witnesses or anyone with knowledge of the residence.

Overnight, detectives were notified by the medical examiner of a preliminary finding of homicide in this case.

This is now being investigated as a homicide, homicide detectives are working to determine the victims identification as well as the exact cause of death for the victim.

UPDATE: Through investigation detectives were able to identify a subject of interest, an adult male with whom the victim was in an ongoing relationship.

Later in the day on 04/02/225 Detectives were able to locate the subject's vehicle near KCI airport. The subject was located inside the vehicle, deceased by apparent suicide . . .
