Kansas City Joins Nationwide 'Hands Off' Anti-Trump Protest Today

Another weekend of activist protest confronts our cowtown. 

From our perspective . . .

We (feebly) try not to give away our feelings or bias without an ample dose of snark but recently some TKC readers that we trust and respect asked a relevant question that could get lost in the newsie mix if we don't share it . . . A bit of weekend wisdom:

DON'T KANSAS CITY ANTI-TRUMP PROTESTERS HAVE ANYTHING ELSE FUN PLANNED FOR THE WEEKEND?!?!

Actually . . . That's a brilliant point given that the plebs only get so much time off and commitment to pushing back against the Commander-In-Chief certainly seems to be time consuming.

For instance . . .

Today's local "festivities" will take at least 4 hours from start to finish. 

In fairness and because we never wanna be the guy who ruins good times . . .

Donald Trump and Elon Musk think this country belongs to them. Kansas City is fighting back!

They're taking everything they can get their hands on—our health care, our data, our jobs, our services—and daring the world to stop them. This is a crisis, and the time to act is now.

📍 Where: Community Christian Church 4601 Main, Kansas City, MO. 64112 Across from Plaza Fountain

📅 When: April 5, 2025 Meeting 10 am to Noon. After the meeting, Rally near Plaza Fountain Noon to 2 pm

This mass mobilization day is our message to the world that we do not consent to the destruction of our government and our economy for the benefit of Trump and his billionaire allies. Alongside Americans across the country, we are marching, rallying, and protesting to demand a stop the chaos and build an opposition movement against the looting of our country.

A core principle behind all Hands Off! events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
