
Context that comes to mind first . . .
Actually, a big component of the current fight betwixt MAGA vs. Harvard is about worsening antisemitism on the elite campus. And whilst that discussion is above our bloggy pay grade . . . What might be important this week is the deep local connection that many local Christian/Catholic communities feel with their Jewish neighbors in the Kansas City metro . . . Look back into KC history and notice it's a connection that has been cultivated for nearly a hundred years. It's one of many things that makes this cowtown special and unlike any other place in the nation.
And whilst we don't want to "bright side" this morning reading . . . We simply wanted to share our perspective for a much deeper investigation of faith community doctrine this week.
