Kansas City Deadly Weekend Hit & Run Kills Cyclist

Sadly, warmer weather brings tragedy to local streets in many different forms . . . Here's an update on the danger of local street life and a reminder to share the road . . . Check-it:

KCPD says that East Patrol Division officers were investigating the hit-and-run when they determined the cyclist was traveling eastbound on 37th Street, near Cleveland Avenue. That cyclist failed to stop at a stop sign when they were hit in the intersection by an unknown dark colored vehicle.

According to KCPD, the driver of that vehicle did not stop at the scene. The cyclist was pronounced dead on the scene. KCPD says the investigation is now ongoing.

Bicyclist killed in Kansas City hit and run late Saturday night

The Kansas City Police Department says that a bicyclist is dead after a hit-and-run late Saturday evening, April 26, around 11:45 p.m.
