IT'S NOW IMPOSSIBLE FOR KANSAS CITY LEADERS TO DENY VIOLENT CRIME TRENDING UPWARD IN 2025!!!
This seems like a simple statement but it's not . . . Consider . . .
Over the course of Mayor Q's tenure we have RARELY heard any admission of missteps or much in the way of accountability when it comes to record breaking crime. The constant struggle to quell urban violence is mostly accompanied by a continual series of promises or statements that capitalize on statistical dips in violent crime in order to distract from the big picture. Two examples of this trend: KCPD's new crime fighting plan released at the outset of this year and then late December press conferences celebrating a statistical dip in 2024 homicide numbers. Neither one of these media blasts did anything to better inform the public . . . They merely functioned to present the illusion of local leaders taking responsibility.
And again . . . It's worth repeating that all of this precedes homicide numbers bouncing back in 2025 and once again coming very close to a record setting pace at the outset of Spring.
Accordingly . . .
