Kansas City Activists Predict Lower Ridership After 'Zero Fare' FAIL

We'll see . . .

Here at TKC we're hopeful that better conditions for riders will inspire more people to hop aboard despite a cutback in frequency. 

The reality is that if KCATA can get the busses running on time again . . . Locals will probably be happy to ride this spring, summer and into the fall.

In fairness . . . Here's recent criticism . . . 

‼️However, there are major consequences as a result of the version council passed. perhaps the most harmful being the end of Kansas City’s historic zero fare program that has been invaluable to thousands of poor and working class kansas citians since it was implemented. Comments from city councilors and kcata officials have repeatedly shown this is not about financial needs, but it’s really about giving them the power to dictate who should and shouldn’t be allowed to use public services like buses 😡
