Jackson County Property Tax Fight Nears Final Showdown

Sometime in the very new future, Jackson County Exec Frank White is going to have to comply with the Missouri State Tax Commission or leave office.

Consider the quickening steps leading up to this ultimate confrontation . . .

In 2024 the Commish orders a roll back to 15%

And then . . .

This month a judge upheld that ruling.

And then . . .

The Jackson County Legislature passed an ordinance to demand Exec White follow the judge's ruling.

Sadly . . .

Here's the rub that www.TonysKansasCity.com readers should understand . . .

The ordinance doesn't have a veto proof majority and could get flipped very soon.

However . . .

TKC EXCLUSIVE: INSIDERS WARN MISSOURI LEADERS MIGHT SOON JUMP BACK IN THIS FIGHT AS THE EXEC IS RUNNING OUT OF APPEALS!!!

Here's the word . . .

"This can't go on for long and very soon the Exec won't have any other choice but to obey the court or leave office. His appeal is going to blow up and we're hearing that we might soon see the proceedings expedited in order not to interfere with upcoming assessments. That means that most experts are confident about the outcome AND the case that Exec is making doesn't have much merit. He's entitled to appeal . . . But he's not entitled to drag this thing out forever when taxpayers obviously need relief and are entitled to lawful assessments."

And so . . .

TKC readers might want to brace themselves for even more legal fighting and MAYBE some kind of concession speech from the courthouse either way.
