Will Kansas City Fire Brian Platt Today?!?

As always, we like to offer a local space wherein bold declarative statements might seem foolhardy in retrospect. 

And so we ask . . .

WILL SUSPENDED CITY MANAGER BRIAN PLATT SURVIVE TODAY WITH HIS 12TH & OAK CAREER INTACT?!?

Actually . . .

It's a longshot that he makes it through the afternoon for reasons that we all understand. 

- Mayor Q already suspended him.

- Black activists & leaders are rallying against him for the 4th or 5th time during his tenure.

- A KCMO legal defeat wherein "lying" was the centerpiece of a BRILLIANT case backed the CM in a corner. 

However . . . We also want readers to consider this . . .

IF MAYOR Q VOTES TO FIRE BRIAN PLATT, IT'S THE BEGINNING OF THE END OF HIS POLITICAL CAREER!!!

We're not going to court over our innuendo but we've already noted . . .

Brian Platt is EXCEPTIONALLY smart and he knows were all of the metaphorical "bodies are buried" in Mayor Q's administration. 

Also . . .

We're now hearing that the Northland isn't completely sold on getting rid of the guy. 

In fact . . . 

It's actually the 3rd District reps who have backed themselves into a corner here . . . If they can't get rid of him today, then they're all talk on this topic.

We're not sure how to make the odds on this one . . . But it's closer than anybody thinks. 

For now, www.TonysKansasCity.com numbers tell us firing Platt is ahead +2 . . . That's less than a field goal and its still anybody's game.
