Teen Mob Attacks Ice Cream Shop Manager On Strawberry Hill

Sadly, this Kansas City headline seems right out of a sketchy game of CandyLand and it only gets more ridiculous as we learn more deets.

Apparently . . . Amid the brutal beat down of a dude trying to serve ice cream, a group of lowrider enthusiasts came to the guy's defense and that's nice but only makes the situation seem even more farcical.

Meanwhile, in what is likely a preview of more violence as temperatures rise, here's the update with serious charges against youngsters caught up in the melee . . .

"According to KCKPD, around 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, a group of nine teenagers were causing a disturbance outside the Hey Sugar ice cream shop. During that disturbance, two of the teens attacked the store manager.

"KCKPD officers reviewed security footage and successfully identified two suspects. One of those suspects was arrested Wednesday night and has since been booked in the Wyandotte County Juvenile Detention Center.

"A second suspect was also taken into custody but has since been released pending further investigation.

"KCKPD revealed that they've also been able to connect the two teen suspects to a previous crime that occurred at Hey Sugar last spring. Both of those investigations are ongoing, according to police."
