
This weekend there are a couple of good stories about the city manager that deserve attention.
We'll start with a report penned by a Pulitzer prize winner that's surprisingly supportive . . .
But in a Saturday phone interview, Platt told me that there was nothing in any of those three lawsuits that was news to members of the City Council, not just after they were filed but at the time the actions discussed in the suits were taken: “Nothing referenced in the lawsuits was unknown to the council.”

"The testimony of former Jersey City Business Administrator Brian Platt during a highly publicized trial earlier this month in Kansas City has caught the attention of a Jersey City mayor who went to prison in the 1990s.
"That ex-mayor, Gerald McCann, says Platt used him, or someone who sounded suspiciously like him, as a convenient scapegoat."
" 'Tell him to use my name, and then I can sue him,' said McCann. "
