SHAME: Former Council Lady Joanne Collins ROBBED & INJURED In Downtown KC

First thing's first . . . It looks like she's gonna be okay.

And then . . .

KANSAS CITY CRIME IS GETTING OUT OF CONTROL WHEN LOCAL SCUMBAG CROOKS DON'T KNOW THAT THEY NEED TO LEAVE AN 89-YEAR-OLD WOMAN ALONE!!!

Seriously . . .

This kind of robbery didn't used to happen because some of the fiercest local criminals wouldn't let their ilk get away with it. Sure, there is no honor amongst thieves but this kind of an attack can't happen in any kind of sustainable society because it's an affront to civilization and basic human dignity. 

Moreover . . . 

Just about everybody who lives in this cowtown should know that attacking a feisty nice old lady wearing a big hat is OFF LIMITS to even the most desperate criminal.

If any of us needed a sign that this Summer threatens to be exceptionally violent . . . This is it. 

When the criminal class have absolutely no mercy for an elderly woman who has worked her whole life to help her community . . . Then everyone inside and around the city limits is cooked. 

Brief aside . . .

If she reads this she'll give us a hard time for providing context here by noting that she's 89-years-old and/or elderly but our heart really goes out to the former council lady and we wish her a speedy recovery . . . Over the years Ms. Collins has been both a critic and supporter of TKC and this report is really infuriating for us and should be a wake up call for anyone who reads it . . . Check-it:

Police found former Kansas City councilwoman Joanne Collins injured after they were called to the area of West 12th Street and Central Street for a robbery Monday.
