There are more than a couple of mainstream newspaper reports documenting the trend earlier last year but we'll wait and see how this plays out.
For now, in fairness, here's the word from embattled pet lovers and their lawyers . . .
"We are absolutely committed to the community. The residents, the people, and the pets of Kansas City have depended on us for over a decade, and we will absolutely continue to do our good work," Katie Barnett, general counsel for KC Pet Project said.
To be clear, KC Pet Project says they have no record of any calls about loose pit bulls in this neighborhood.
