Sorry, this is a bit of a repeat but still worthy of consideration at the end of this session . . . Accordingly, This line stands out from a former weather man turned culture warrior and Golden Ghetto politico:
"One of the big disappointments of this session came today when the House failed to pass a constitutional amendment that would have provided property tax relief. The Senate did its part by passing the resolution as our goal from the outset of this session was to stop the insane valuation increases that are devastating so many homeowners...forcing some to sell their home because they can't afford the property tax...and creating a barrier to home ownership for young people. I personally believe property tax is unconstitutional. You can NEVER own your own home...you are always paying "rent" to the government, even once your home is paid off. I think it's pure evil. Rest assured, we will not stop until we find a way to fix this problem...but we need enough legislators who truly understand how bad the situation is. Stay tuned."
