Kansas City Star Exploits Latina Tears Against Prez Trump

We're taking a bit more of a relaxed approach to our blogging and it's working nicely . . .

So, today we'll share a bit of dated personal story that compliments recent dead-tree media coverage.

The subject of a recent KC Star story is named Angie and TKC actually grew up with her. She's a family friend and one of the best people in the world.

Recently . . .

The Kansas City Star stuck a camera in her face and pushed her to tears with a series of troubling questions and hypotheticals. On the spot and in front of strangers, she teared up when contemplating her financial future.

We're not linking this one to talk about policy or the Prez . . . Also, that lead photo is Selena Gomez crying about MAGA for social media fans but we already talked about that self-aggrandizing silliness.

Instead . . . . Watching the report from the newspaper this week, here's what's very obvious . . .

THE KANSAS CITY STAR HAS TURNED INTO AN EXPLOITATIVE RAG THAT BETRAYS JUST ABOUT EVERY JOURNALISTIC PRINCIPLE IT ONCE UPHELD!!!

 Consider . . .

In J-school they teach EVERYBODY that it's unethical to put a camera in the face of fire victim and ask them "how do you feel?" as their home burns to the ground in the background. Sure, it makes for great & captivating TV . . . But that's not journalism.

Similarly . . .

Sticking the camera in the face of a senior lady and then asking about her life if she misses a Social Security check is exploitation and NOT news.

The report is literally one of the worst things we've seen from the newspaper in years and a reminder of why we started this blog . . . Because even this humble offering is better than the dead-tree garbage they're publishing at the so-called paper-of-record.

As always, in fairness, we'll share the story to readers can decide for themselves . . .
