Kansas City Star Column Contemplates 'Palestinian Experience' Amid War

We don't complete object to the idea of this column . . . It's just so sappy and out of touch with the current political landscape that it has been rendered meaningless . . . Take a look: 

"Kansas City is home to many who share this experience. Over the years, I’ve met refugees here from Somalia, Syria, Afghanistan and beyond, all carrying the weight of displacement. Their stories are different from mine — I had the privilege of leaving by choice, with the ability to return. They did not. And yet, the pain of separation remains a common thread. This is what led me to a deeper understanding of the Palestinian experience."
