We always thought the purse was a silly but practical idea . . . The only justice in this sad situation is that crooks will be forced to wade through YEARS of lady gear and accessories for their trouble and that might actually resemble "work" for just a few coins and credit cards that have already been cancelled . . . At least two police departments in the Kansas City metro are investigating reports of criminals stealing purses outside stores.
The purse snatching and thefts have law enforcement issuing a warning to protect yourself.
Raytown police said over the last several months they've investigated five cases where people reported their purses stolen outside grocery stores.
