For those of us who love the written word, in Kansas City's urban core there's a tragic turn of events as a public resource for knowledge evolves into a place of refugee for those stuck in survival mode. 

To wit . . . And because this switcheroo has ACTUALLY been taking hold over the past 30 years . . .

 Forgive our guilt . . . 

We've made fun of this trend for years but now libraries are leaning into this service that will OBVIOUSLY chase other patrons away.

Accordingly . . . Take a glimpse at the future that reads like every conservative's favorite dystopian George Orwell book . . . Check-it:
