Kansas City Pride Protesters Overtake Country Club Plaza Streets

We noted this protest earlier in the week and this afternoon it's local news fact. 

For Kansas City denizens who might not know why HUNDREDS of protesters were marching in the street this afternoon . . . Here is their mission statement . . .

"We will hold space to honor our lost BIPOC trans siblings and the many still at risk. There will be a rally, a march, and plenty of protesting on the perimeter of the park. We will declare to this government that the LGBTQIA2+ community will never be erased, that we WILL resist. That we will continue to shine and love and thrive in spite of their hate and their fear.

"We will grieve our lost siblings, we will protest, then that night we will go out and dance and celebrate this crazy life surrounded by a community that loves and accepts us for who we are, for our joy is resistance."
