Kansas City Police Investigate Two Separate Homicide Scenes Overnight

Right now police are investigating a murder at North Corrington.

Earlier last night . . . 

Here's the situation after a man was shot dead in the middle of an urban street.

Unofficially, these two situations push the KCMO homicide count to 32 so far this year.

Homicide 400 block of Park

Just after 8:30 PM, patrol officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Park on a reported shooting.

Upon arrival they located an adult male victim lying in the roadway suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers immediately began performing life saving measures and ordered EMS to the scene. Medics responded and pronounced the victim deceased.

This is being investigated as a homicide and no one is in custody at this point. Preliminary investigation revealed an interaction in the street between individuals that led to the victim being shot. Detectives are canvassing the area for witnesses and any surveillance footage.  Crime scene personnel are processing the scene for all possible physical evidence.

KCPD investigating deadly shooting near Elma Street, Park Avenue

The shooting was reported just after 8:30 p.m. in the area of Elma Street and Park Avenue.

Admin BREAKING - Just after 8:30 p.m., on Friday, March 28, Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) officers dispatched to the 400 block of Park Ave., within the Pendleton Heights neighborhood on a reported shooting call. Once on the scene, officers located an adult male - who was experiencing gunshot wounds - lying on the ground.
