Kansas City Police Investigate East Side Double Homicide

Here's the first overnight report from the scene of an overnight deadly shooting scene along with more info hitting TV broadcasts this morning . . .

Homicide 3400 Block of Harrison

[Tuesday Night] Just after 11pm officers were called to the 3400 block of Harrison on a sound of shots call.

On arrival they located two adult male shooting victims unresponsive in the street there.

Officers rendered aid until EMS arrived and took over treatment.

EMS transported both victims to the hospital where they were both declared deceased.

There is no suspect information at this time and detectives are working to determine the events leading up to the shooting.

Detectives are also canvassing for witnesses and crime scene investigators are processing the scene for evidence.

We are committed to assisting victims of violent crimes through use of Missouri’s Protection Program for Victims/Witnesses of Violent Crime. Funding for temporary, or even permanent relocation, may be available but is subject to pre-approval by the State’s administering agency.

We are working with Partners for Peace in all our homicide investigations to monitor risks for retaliation and provide social services to affected residents.

Two people killed in Tuesday night shooting

Two people found unresponsive on the street with gunshot wounds. They later died at the hospital. No suspect information.
