“Essentially everything that we share on television and everything that you get on your app, any weather information people consume, whether that’s on their phone, here on FOX4 or on the internet. That data is all from the NWS,” FOX4 Meteorologist Jacob Lanier said.
The organization that controls weather watches, warnings and advisories could soon be a shell of themselves. This as the axe from the trump administration is squarely pointed at NOAA and the National Weather Service.
“So next time there is a big weather event, we’re headed right into severe weather season, they are going to do their best but I hope we don’t have a delay in warning, a delay in action,” Lanier said.
