Kansas City Crossroads Fantasy Game Shop Shuts Down After Triple Break-Ins

Cruel reality confronts these cowtown creative hobbyists as their quest for successful commerce was ultimately defeated by villainous goblin thieves.

Druid Dice, a tabletop gaming supplies shop at 2010 Main St. in the Crossroads, is shutting down later this month. Owner Alec Ward said the closing is due to a variety of reasons: difficulty competing with prices on custom dice made in China, the building's deteriorating condition and rising crime in the area.

“We’ve been broken into three times in the past six months,” Ward said. “We’ve had three different doors smashed in. They’ve stolen our safe, our register, made a big mess of the place.”
