Kansas City Council Lady Robinson Racial E-mail Against Platt Leaks

This week, racially charged conversation about the fate of the city manager has dominated local headlines.

Thanks to AWESOME INSIDERS . . . We've got perspective into the longstanding city hall feud and EXCLUSIVE backstory dox on the tense relationship betwixt council lady Melissa Robinson & City Manger Brian Platt since day one.

To wit . . . And because it's circulating around council . . .

INSIDERS SHARE COUNCIL LADY ROBINSON'S RACIALLY CHARGED REBUKE OF THE CITY MANAGER HIRE IN MEMO SENT TO MAYOR Q!!!

To be fair . . .

For insiders . . . This stance isn't really shocking and it's a manner of "advocacy" that's typical in KC proper.

However . . .

THE OUTRIGHT RACIALLY CHARGED ANIMOSITY MIGHT SHOCK LOCALS WHO DON'T KNOW HOW KCMO POLITICS WORKS!!!

Accordingly . . .

We're sharing this because it comes from a trusted source, we've confirmed it with other trusted insiders AND because it provides CRITICAL PERSPECTIVE on the recent slew of complaints against City Manager Brian Platt that have been aired across local media.

Here are the quotes that stand out to us regarding Platt's hiring in a note directed toward Mayor Q:

"What happened to your commitment to seeing a Black female City Manager -- That was a public commitment and there was no reflection of that commitment . . . Going from that statement to choosing a White male is unconscionable."

As the CM started his job . . . The Council lady questions Platt's qualifications and alleges bias . . .

"If he were Black with these credentials YOU know there is no way he would have the super-majority vote so don't play the best choice card. Doing so makes you complicit in workplace bias and racism. I have the feeling you don't care about your connections to oppression and how you are upholding whtie privilege and institutional racism."

Her final objection . . .

"To send out this 'I have the final word' malarkey is distasteful and hurtful. Did you not once think, perhaps all Black Councilmember not voting represents the challenges and strife of Black America is having with America. To deflect your wayward process and decisions on to the Council is quite low."
