Kansas City Activists Protest Police Funding Amid Bus Cuts

Today we notice an upcoming protest that's taking a sketchy turn . . .

KANSAS CITY ACTIVISTS DECRY MONEY FOR POLICE OVER THE INEVITABLE DECLINE OF ZERO FARE SUPPORT!!!

That's a strange tact to take amid record breaking homicide numbers this year and complaints about free rides from bus drivers . . . Still here's a look at the message and today's outrage . . . 

"The proposed budget from City Manager Brian David Platt and Mayor Lucas further increases KCPD funding by $23 million just months before they want Kansas Citians to put more of our tax dollars toward a new jail.

"Meanwhile, the proposed budget also UNDERFUNDS our buses by 10s of millions of $s, which will result in route cuts and layoffs of union workers that keep our buses running."
