Kansas City 2025 Homicide #34: Lady Shot Dead Saturday Night

So far this weekend there have been at least four people killed in KCMO.

Two of those killings have claimed the lives of women.

Here's the latest report . . . 

Homicide 5600 blk of E 29th

This evening, just before 7:00 PM, patrol officers were dispatched to the 5600 block of E 29th street on a reported shooting.

Upon arrival officers were directed to the front yard of a residence on 29th street. They located an adult female victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel responded and pronounced the victim deceased on scene.

This is being investigated as a homicide and there is no one in custody at this time.  Investigators are canvassing the neighborhood for any witnesses to help determine what led up to shots beings fired. Crime scene personnel are processing the scene for all available physical evidence and any surveillance footage.

We are committed to assisting victims of violent crimes through use of Missouri’s Protection Program for Victims/Witnesses of Violent Crime. Funding for temporary, or even permanent relocation, may be available but is subject to pre-approval by the State’s administering agency.

We are working with Partners for Peace in all our homicide investigations to monitor risks for retaliation and provide social services to affected residents.
