Cowtown Lowered Expectations: Kansas City Leases 200 Busses For World Cup

KC2026, Kansas City’s host committee, announced Wednesday that it has signed a lease for 200 additional busses to be used during the World Cup next summer.

The bus system will complement existing bus routes on both sides of the state line and transport an estimated for 650,000 visitors to matches, fan fests, the airport and hotel centers.

“This is a major milestone,” said Pam Kramer, CEO of KC2026. “Securing these buses is a major logistical advantage as we plan a smooth and efficient transportation experience for residents and visitors during the World Cup.”
