We're not picking a side on this one but the REAL story here is about the Northland picking sides on this issue as otherwise conservative voters see this issue as a way to gain leverage over their rivals.
Sadly, public radio just offers us a roundup and talking points from lawyers in their coverage. We're just quoting and linking because our TKC community actually has a bit more insight on this issue according some worthwhile comments we've noticed over the past few months . . .
"Platte County residents are suing the three-member commission for failing to implement a quarter-cent sales tax that voters passed in November. The tax would fund youth mental health services, which are severely lacking in the county."
