As usual there's no sympathy for government workers as many local MAGA supporters downplay the inconvenient fact that the federal government is the Kansas City metro's largest employer. So, like it or not, there will be an impact locally across state lines, into the suburbs and, likely, throughout the region IF the cuts go as deep as many hope.
