Rich The Factor is a Kansas City hip-hop legend with very real street cred and a cult following that spans over three decades.
Our often overly critical readers who don't like rap music anyhoo might not understand that amongst local hip-hop purists, Rich The Factor commands a great deal of attention because of this authentic voice, incredible swagger and musical virtuosity that mixes beats on a level that commands notice from urban music lovers across the nation.
We were also waiting for the latest from this local juggernaut BUT we nearly missed a political tie-in that's worth mentioning for the blog . . .
Rich The Factor gives Mayor Q a mention and the nod was reciprocated by the politico who returned the social media love . . . Take a look for those who haven't seen it already . . . Here's what Mayor Q had to say:

Typically this is where our readers share their hateration, pretend to understand rap music and denounce one thing or the other . . . TKC advice is to stop being boring for just a second and understand CONTEXT in Kansas City and enjoy, if only briefly, a Mayor that can still attempt to connect with urban communities much more effectively than most elected officials.
More importantly . . . We really like the intro for this track and the backbeat & hook are probably something that we'll hear years later when mainstream artists start "borrowing" the melody.
