A local faith leader does his very best to respect everyone's political leanings whilst addressing recent & controversial cuts to a U.S. institution . . . Sadly, that tactful approach probably won't help him either way.
Adam Hamilton, senior pastor at Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kan. recently shared a very popular social media post on his experience & perspective with USAID and his take is worth a look. Unlike most, it seems that he has FIRST PERSON experience watching the agency work with international communities.
However . . .
It's actually kinda cringe-y that he wants people to be nice on Facebook . . . Where ur dad has now been empowered to talk all kinds of trash without consequence.
Nevertheless . . .
KICK-ASS TKC readers encourage us to take a look at Pastor Hamilton's recent post and this quote sets up his take . . . Check-it:
"Let's have a careful audit of programs, and clear, transparent, published criteria for how we determine which projects and partnerships will be funded around the world. And let's ensure that humanitarian projects continue to be funded while that audit and review is taking place. Finally, let's not step back from compassionately funding humanitarian projects that address the critical needs of people around the world."
