"The Overland Park Police Department responded to an armed robbery in a parking lot in the 7400 block of Shawnee Mission Parkway near Riley Street on Tuesday evening.

"Two armed men approached a victim and stole their vehicle, firing what police called a warning shot into the air. The victim was also physically assaulted, police said. They suffered minor injuries but were not taken to the hospital from the scene.

"The suspects then left, but an Overland Park police officer observed the stolen vehicle and began a pursuit.

"The suspects fled east on Interstate 435 into Missouri, and a neighboring jurisdiction continued the chase.

"One of the suspects was arrested in Lee's Summit, Missouri."
