KCUR Splits With UMKC

The city college is not longer hosting this town's most progressive outlet.

Long, long ago it was a de facto training program for local journalists . . . Now there's really not much interest or future in becoming a newsie.

Here's the word . . . 

"KCUR has been an independent service of the University of Missouri-Kansas City for decades. The University of Missouri Board of Curators expressed support for a UMKC plan to transfer the station’s ownership to a community-led nonprofit."
