To be fair to the GOP politico . . . He did let about 9 people talk BUT detractors of the legislation are making A LOT of noise about equal time and the former KC weather dude isn't doing a very good job defending himself . . . For now, here's the basics:
The Senate Federal and State Affairs Committee held a hearing on Senate Bill 254 Thursday morning, but it abruptly ended when Sen. Mike Thompson, R-Shawnee, told people to leave.
"Everything was recorded on camera, and so everything you need to see is there," Thompson later told The Capital-Journal. "The only thing I feel is unfortunate is that by that man disrupting the testimony, he didn't give our committee time to ask questions of the opponents who were there in the room. So he lost them 12 to 15 minutes, or possibly more, of robust questioning where they could have answered our questions."

'Clear the room': Senate committee shut down as speaker stood up for immigrants
A bill hearing abruptly ended in the Kansas Legislature when a speaker stood up and tried to speak past a time limit set on opponents of the bill.
