Kansas City Transit Activist Clay Chastain Launches 'Monster Plan' Monorail

KC needs a Monster Plan that will not only give the people something to look forward to, but a 'Bullish Vision' that will also bust our City free from its jailors...decades of inept, boring & status quo store-minders that have left KC mired in a malaise of dullness, crime & mediocrity.

Thus, The Initiative reconfigures (transit-poor, car-congested & transportation-expensive) KC into what is important to people these days... to live & work in a safe, affordable & robust Community with OUTSTANDING MOBILITY OPTIONS.

The Centerpiece:

A 25-mile Monorail Spine is the Juggernaut of the Initiative & designed to benefit all the people, electrify the City & connect it together. (Most convenient) KC's 'Transit Gem' begins adjacent to the single terminal @ KCI Airport (@ floor level) & travels south serving...the Northland, Downtown, Union Station, Midtown, Plaza, Eastside & KC Zoo. Monorail offers passengers a high quality ride (fast, smooth & quiet) & an elevated & unparalleled presentation of "the City Beautiful". It's cost-effective too in that it... takes up less space, causes less street upheaval, needs no overhead wires & thus costs far less to build (per mile) than City Streetcars. The Monorail's prefabricated structural components (pylons & guideways) can also be manufactured locally.
