The common theme here is that another factor making Winter 2025 so rough is the steady number of residential fires that are OFTEN (but not always) caused by careless smoking, kitchen accidents and space heaters.

Overland Park fourplex fire kills 2 dogs
The Overland Park Fire Department said no injuries were reported but crews did find a dog who died in one of the units.
