Kansas City Police Arrest Mom After Son Stabbed To Death

Unofficially, this is the 16th homicide so far in 2025 compared to ONLY FIVE at this time last year.

As a basement dwelling blogger . . . This report is EXCEPTIONALLY terrifying. But more than just dumb jokes . . . There's already a very real and serious trend here . . .

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IS ON THE UPTICK IN KANSAS CITY IN 2025!!!

There are a lot of reasons for this trend but let's not discount the impact of a worsening economy and a more cruel and divisive American culture.

Here's the first report . . .

Homicide 500 block of Quincy

This morning just before 2AM, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Quincy on a reported cutting.

Officers responded to the scene where they observed a residence with an open door and several people outside summoning officers to the home. Officers entered the residence to locate any potential victims and observed an adult male suffering from apparent stab wounds inside. Emergency medical aid was immediately given to the victim by responding officers until EMS arrived and transported the male to an area hospital. The male had succumbed to his injuries at the hospital and was pronounced deceased.

Preliminary investigation indicates the incident may have started over a verbal argument that escalated to violence. An adult female was identified, located, and taken into custody on scene for further questioning. Detectives are not currently looking for any additional individuals responsible.

Homicide detectives and crime scene personnel have responded to begin collecting evidence and gathering witness statements.

This incident is being investigated as a homicide and is ongoing at this time.

We are committed to assisting victims of violent crimes through use of Missouri’s Protection Program for Victims/Witnesses of Violent Crime. Funding for temporary, or even permanent relocation, may be available but is subject to pre-approval by the State’s administering agency.

We are working with Partners for Peace in all our homicide investigations to monitor risks for retaliation and provide social services to affected residents.
