Actually . . .
This crooks keep going after this display because they think they can sell it for scrap and the statue resides in a park that's mostly empty after dark.
Here's the word long after the display has been melted down . . .
Kansas City Parks & Rec said the statue of a Native American used to stand at the Francois Chouteau and Native American Heritage Monument.
It disappeared from Chouteau Greenway between the evening hours of Jan. 21 and noon on Jan. 22.
